Hello MT/CT folks...I need your counsel.
I desire to upgrade to a full leather or pig skin zippered letter sized padfolio (Black).
I have been using a bonded leather padfolio that is (1) showing its wear and (2) features a logo. My company requires that I use accessories without technology company logos.
I am an IT consultant and desire recommendations. Many thanks.

Another vote for Levenger
Try their Zippered Essential Folio, or look around for other items. My go-to notebook is a leather Circa foldover, and I expect it will last me for many years to come.

Cambridge Leather
Hello Thomas,
I like Cambridge Leather's products. The craftsmanship is high. They use top-grain leather to maintain durability and keep it looking sharp without too much bulk. You don't see others carrying them about, if that's important to you. I use the Journal with Plain Edge Insert, which works well for a former road-warrior.
Their letter sized unit with a zipper might be more than you're asking for. Then again... it might be exactly what a well-heeled IT consultant needs!

Padfolios

I ordered one from Clava...Extreme padfolio (zippered). The one I have from Leeds used bonded leather and wore through after only a year. As such, we'll see if this holds up.
Hartmann uses belting leather ...and that may have been a bit bulky. I'll let you all know the quality of the Clava padfolio when it arrives.
Being on the road...my (leather, LL Bean) messenger bag has to hold my laptop, cables, papers, etc...toss in a leather letter-sized padfolio and it is heavier than I would prefer. But the bag has held up well. For all the trips through the airport, in retrospect, I should have snagged a checkpoint friendly bag.
(As for being "well heeled"...my heels do show some wear! Have laptop...will travel.)

Clava padfolio - three years later
The Clava is holding up well. The padfolio is (of course) more flexible from use as compared to when I first received it. The corners, while burnished, show no tears or cuts. The leather is much thinner than "belt" leather and is holding its rich, black color.
