Relationship building is one of the IMPORTANT aspects to have a successful career. having a great sense of humor helps a lot in getting those relationships going. I am wondering if that skill can be learnt?

I'm not so sure I agree with the premise of your question. I'd have to see evidence that humor is effective at initiating or maintaining a relationship. There are so many different kinds of humor. Which one is most effective?
I'd suggest sticking with what's been proven effective. Learn how to introduce yourself and be a good conversationalist. Smile.
