Has anyone been involved in an acquisition? My company is being picked up by an industry competitor, deal should close by mid-next year.

What has your experiences been during this? Any thoughts about how to keep your directs motivated, focused on the task at hand in the midst of the business transacting?

Any thoughts on how to keep yourself positioned for opportunity as your organization comes out of this?

Is there a podcast for this?

Thanks!

Podcasts: Managing During Mergers and Acquisitions is a two part series that will help the immediate situation. As the dust begins to settle, you may also find the Managing in a Matrix Environment helpful.

This would also be a great time to review SCD casts.
Relationships will be very important.
Luckily, you have time to work on these.  The earlier you start the better.
If there is a chance you will be laid off, then there are casts on that too.

Thanks for all of the help.
Time will certainly tell, hopefully I can convey the value of my team's function and people over the next six months.
